頭飾類包刮頭骨厚的厚頭龍類和有鸚鵡般的喙的角龍類。角龍類中，有不少品種有角，大部分頭部後方也有骨盾。不過，牠們的骨盾通常很脆弱，比較可能是用來求偶﹝或做類似的展示活動﹞而不是防衛。

鳥腳類
由小到大：稜齒龍、溝齒龍、豪勇龍、彎龍、副龍櫛龍、禽龍和山東龍
鳥腳類是植食恐龍中最成功的一類，因為牠們的牙齒、顎和喙很發達，所以能咀嚼任何植物，並從其中得到最多的能量。最早的鳥腳類體型小，以兩腳行動，但後來演化出長十七公尺、重二十五公頓，能用四隻腳走路也能雙腳奔跑的品種。

中生代鳥類
啊......好久沒新增啦﹝網路「爆」了﹞
這張照片已經放在相簿很久啦，是各種中生代鳥類的圖，由上而下﹝沒有照比例畫﹞：始祖鳥、孔子鳥、反鳥和黃昏鳥
為什麼鳥類算恐龍？「恐龍」的定義是：能夠包含麻雀﹝Passer domesticus﹞和三角龍﹝Triceratops horridus﹞最小範圍的進化枝。鳥類也符合這定義。
鳥類和其他恐龍如何分辨？羽毛恐爪龍類和偷蛋龍類也有哇！「鳥類」的定義是：比恐爪龍﹝Deinonychus antirrhopus﹞接近現代鳥類的所有恐龍﹝也包含現代鳥類本身﹞。
大家往往認為，鳥類是在其他恐龍絕種後才有的，其實牠們在侏羅紀就出現了，到了白堊紀品種也開始多樣化。
始祖鳥是目前所知最古老的鳥，生活在侏羅紀後期。牠仍有牙齒、長尾和前爪。不少圖片喜歡把牠畫成飛行中或棲在樹上的樣子，但牠較可能和其他小型肉食恐龍一樣，是地棲性掠食者。
孔子鳥和始祖鳥一樣有前爪，且不太會飛，但尾椎和現代鳥一樣很短。牠沒有牙齒，似乎吃種子和魚。目前所發現的孔子鳥個體近幾千具，可以清楚看見有些孔子鳥尾部長兩根很長的羽毛﹝可能是公的﹞，有些則無﹝可能是母的﹞。
在中生代鳥類中最常見的是反鳥類的。有的吃魚，有的吃植物，還有一些，像反鳥本身，吃陸上的小動物。牠們會飛，不過有些仍保有幾根前爪。
我畫的四種鳥類和現代鳥最接近的是黃昏鳥類的鳥。牠們是所有恐龍中最適合在海域生活的。牠們的翅膀已小到幾乎沒用處，腳為了好游泳而位在身體後方，所以牠們上岸時連站都站不了，只能慢慢爬。黃昏鳥是中生代鳥類中最大的之一，長達一點五公尺。
到了白堊紀後期黃昏鳥類和反鳥類仍存在，也有一些現代鳥類出現，但活過白堊紀大滅絕的唯有現代鳥類。

異齒龍
學名：Heterodontosaurus tucki
時代：侏羅紀前期
發現地點：南非
這種植食恐龍有尖銳的獠牙，像現代的鼷鹿、麝香鹿和山羌一般。或許雄性異齒龍會用牠們的獠牙爭奪伴侶或領地。也有可能的是牠其實是會捕食小昆蟲、小型爬蟲類的雜食動物。

鐮刀龍
學名：Therizinosaurus cheloniformis
時代：白堊紀後期
發現地點：蒙古
這是爪子最長的恐龍：牠的前爪有一公尺長！不過，牠雖然屬於「肉食恐龍」﹝獸腳類﹞，牠的主食應該是植物，因為牠的牙齒又小又鈍、腳短、肚子大，這些是植食動物的特徵。
